my wonderful friend jason, of linoto, took my sister-in-law, jane, and me to ippudo, in nyc, a few months ago. when he was telling me about it he described the pork as having "magic" in it. he was right. it quickly became my favorite meal of my entire life. i'm not sure what they are doing to that pork but it's nothing short of magic. when jane and i went back into the city the day after thanksgiving we knew we had to go back.
view up fourth ave.
best thing we ordered. steamed buns. (go ahead and laugh, we did too.)
delicious bowl of ramen.
view of the inside of the restaurant.
each time a new guest enters the dining area all of the workers yell out a greeting in japanese. i have no idea what they were saying but it made us feel really welcome. this restaurant is a blessing and a curse. i seriously don't know how i'm ever going to eat any where else in ny. mmmm...is it too early in the morning for steamed buns???
I have to know what these "steamed buns" taste like? So weird! I've never heard of anything like that...
ReplyDeletekrista, imagine the softest smoothest white bread you have ever eaten in your life wrapped around a magic infused piece of pork and a crisp piece of fresh lettuce. mmmmm......
