here are the last of my pictures from the home tour. i have been posting these pictures since october. instead of listing all the links i will just stay that if you want to see them all, start with my october 31st post and read on. hopefully the next time i make it back to my home town i can get some more exterior photos of these amazing homes. the following are pictures from the library and master bedroom. enjoy!
library
this is the library, my favorite room in the whole house. the color is the same as the hall, benjamin moore's peacock feathers.
this cabinet is the first piece of furniture my mother ever bought at an auction. a memorable piece, for sure!
master
this is the master bedroom. it is one of the most dramatically changed rooms.
my mom and i both loved the magnolia leaves on the mantle. this was one of our favorite things that the florist did in the house for the tour.
this is the master bathroom. the white cabinets are original and the tile is original.
remember how i told you that this bathroom connected my parent's bedroom to mine? i am taking this picture from the doorway to my bedroom. see me in the mirror? green walls behind me? yep, that's my bedroom.
it has been so much fun sharing these pictures with you. it has been a lovely trip down memory lane commenting on the different rooms and such. i'm not sure how much longer my parent's will live in this house. it's a lot of work for two people. i think that it will be at least a few more years so that they can enjoy all of the hard work they have put into it over the past year. who knows...i have a sneaking suspicion that they may never be able to part with it. i feel so blessed to have grown up in this home and feel content knowing that it is now ready for the next chapter, whatever that may be!
